Job Summary
Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter for KAVU-TV and CrossroadsToday properties; produce and anchor four weekend sportscasts, create and manage content across TV and digital platforms, coordinate with sports/news directors, respond to breaking news, drive audience growth through sports/news initiatives, and publish content via social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Requires strong communication/organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, familiarity with HTML/WordPress/SEO/RSS/FTP, and basic Photoshop; preferred Bachelor’s degree in English/Journ Journalism/Technical Writing and newsroom experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field
- Previous newsroom experience encouraged
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Chartbeat, CrowdTangle or similar
- Knowledge of HTML, WordPress, SEO, RSS, and FTP
- Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
