Job Summary
Set up welding jobs by loading and unloading jigs and fixtures, then operate welding equipment according to work instructions and engineering prints to produce high-quality weldments meeting specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, verify part quantities, and inspect completed welds while reporting material shortages or equipment issues to the Lead or Supervisor. Complete production documentation accurately and on time, safely operate hoists and manual pallet jacks, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Work a weekend shift from Friday through Sunday (5:00 AM–5:30 PM) for 36 hours paid as 40, with a three-day workweek and four days off.
Required Qualifications
- Welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints, weld prints, process sheets, and work instructions
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to successfully complete our welding training program and pass a company weld qualification test
- Strong attention to detail
- Pride in producing quality workmanship
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push and pull materials weighing up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach overhead, and use hand tools and welding equipment
- Ability to safely operate hoists and manual pallet jacks
- Willingness to work weekend shifts (Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM)
- Ability to safely produce high-quality weldments that meet engineering specifications
Desired Qualifications
