Job Summary
The Registered Nurse supervisor plans, coordinates, and provides total nursing care for residents, and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff. Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, assessing residents’ conditions, implementing physician orders, administering medications and IVs, supervising LPNs/LVNs/CNAs, coordinating care for therapies, participating in staff orientation and training, and assisting physicians with tests and procedures. Requires RN license, CPR certification, and experience in clinical supervision and team leadership; strong communication, teamwork, and emergency-response skills. Location: Camden Healthcare, Camden, TN. Schedule emphasizes weekend coverage on a part-time basis; competitive wages based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing
- Valid RN license in the state employed
- Valid CPR certification
- One year of nursing experience preferred
- Initiates and leads team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans
- Assesses and documents residents' condition and nursing needs
- Administers medications, starts IVs and performs treatments
- Supervises LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs
- Coordinates nursing care with therapy and other departments
- Interviews applicants and participates in hiring decisions
- Knowledge of nursing practice act and confidentiality
- Ability to direct and motivate workforce, communicate effectively, and react in emergencies
