Weekend Quality Control Technician -2nd Shift

Job Summary
Inspect finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts and assemblies for conformance to customer requirements and quality standards. Communicate with shift supervisors about problems or defects; measure and record data using Datamyte and dimensional sheets; verify equipment calibration (height gauge, balances, scales, calipers, gauges); collect samples for testing; prepare samples for shipping; respond to quality concerns from shift supervisor, technicians, or inspector packers; approve product after process or maintenance changes; trace defects to origin and prepare non-conforming product reports and daily paperwork. Maintain lab cleanliness and assist with related duties as needed; no supervisory responsibilities. Requires a high school education or equivalent plus specialized training in inspection procedures and at least 1 year of relevant inspection experience; proficient in reading, writing, math (arithmetic, algebra, geometry), and basic computer tools (Datamyte, Access, Excel, label maker software); able to work on-site on the 2nd weekend shift.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Requires a high school education or equivalent plus additional specialized training in inspection procedures.
- Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year experience in inspection procedures for a manufacturing enterprise (including technical cause and effect and problem solving) in order to gain sufficient skill to perform the requirements of the position.
