Job Summary
Conduct periodic inspections of daily plant production using various measuring devices to maintain quality standards. Perform accurate quality control tests for elbows and swedge products, verifying they meet radius, diameter, and other specifications. Prepare samples for testing, procure calibrations, and report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Execute compression testing reports, manage sample disposal, and maintain historical testing records. Dispose of product as rework or scrap when necessary and collaborate with customer service to resolve complaints. Perform routine maintenance, ensure housekeeping, and follow hold tag procedures while maintaining open communication with the shift lead and supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be based out of Pueblo, Colorado
- Must be available for weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday, 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.)
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
- Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
- Must be able to work reliably at a high level with minimal supervision
- Must have good understanding of math skills for quick and accurate counting, calculations and measurements including radius, inside and outside diameter, length, temperatures both Celsius and Fahrenheit
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization
Desired Qualifications
- Two years previous Quality Control experience
- Advanced knowledge and experience troubleshooting, problem solving, and identifying quality issues
- Plans and schedules work as needed, prioritizing tasks, and anticipating needs to accomplish all tasks and minimize testing backlog
