Job Summary
Assess patient data to prioritize care, complete comprehensive unit-specific assessments, and implement evidence-based plans of care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate delivery, document all aspects of care per policy, and evaluate intervention effectiveness while integrating patient and family teaching. Follow organizational policies for safe patient care including medication administration and handoffs. Participate in unit and department quality improvement efforts. Requires Licensed Registered Nurse status with BLS certification; weekend schedule from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm with premium pay.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Associate Degree Nursing
- 1 or more years Experience as a Clinical Nurse
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing Kansas or Missouri (or compact license)
- Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA) or obtained within 14 days
- Must complete BSN degree by the fifth anniversary of employment as an RN with UKHA (for ADN prepared nurses hired after February 24, 2017)
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
