Job Summary
Lead the day-to-day execution of the Tysons Weekend Program, supervising and coaching Direct Support Professionals to ensure safe, joyful, and person-centered care for clients with intellectual disabilities. Support staff during client routines, behavior interventions, documentation, and urgent needs while modeling Jill's House mission and values. Communicate regularly with parents, external partners, and internal teams including the AVP of Programs, Respite Care, Nursing, and HR to maintain consistency. Drive continuous program improvement through documentation, compliance, training, and staff development. This role requires weekend availability and flexibility for evening shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Weekend availability
- Experience working with children or adults with intellectual disabilities
- Strong knowledge of behavior support strategies and person-centered care
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple direct reports
- Strong coaching, communication, and staff development skills
- The ability to encourage and model Christ-centered engagement
- The ability to remain calm, focused, and directive in emergency or escalated situations
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and time management skills
- Flexibility to adjust work availability as program needs shift, including some evenings and weekends
- A willingness to partner across teams and support the needs of the ministry
- A commitment to affirming the McLean Bible Church Vision/Values and Standards of Christian Conduct
- Bachelor's degree and two years of demonstrated professional excellence, with at least one year working with children or adults with disabilities
- High school diploma with two years of demonstrated professional excellence and at least three years working with children or adults with disabilities in a residential setting
- At least one year of experience working with children or adults with varying disabilities
