Weekend Production Manager

Job Summary
Monitor workflow and assembly methods while recommending process improvements to increase output. Manage daily production operations of heavy industrial products by leading multiple supervisors toward daily goals and setting nightly schedules based on equipment efficiency and material supply. Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and oversee quality, production, and on-time delivery metrics. Fill in for absent supervisors to manage individual production bays and handle personnel issues. Produce annual and 30-, 60-, and 90-day performance reviews for supervisors and ensure training documentation is completed for new hires. Review and approve PTO requests, weekly timecards, and daily timesheets by established deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful leadership experience, preferably at the superintendent or an equivalent level, in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Solid managerial and leadership attributes as demonstrated through previous successful professional work experience
- Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility
- Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts, preferably related to transmission poles
- A high level of analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- A demonstrated ability to successfully lead multiple leaders/supervisors in accomplishing their goals
- A high degree of professionalism, dependability, maturity, and strong leadership characteristics as demonstrated through previous professional work experience
- Must be able to work weekends
- Regular and predictable attendance
- A great attitude
- An ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility, specifically with flux and/or metal core welding is highly preferred
