Job Summary
The Weekend Physical Therapist PRN will provide professional physical therapy services to allocated patients, using a highly technical, fast-paced approach in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, ongoing re-assessment, discharge planning, and direct/indirect patient care under the Practice of Physical Therapy Act/Rules. Requires an accredited PT degree, BLS, Texas PT license (or temporary license), and at least 1 year of licensed PT experience. The role emphasizes clear communication, relationship building, accountability, patient experience improvement, proactive professional growth, and team engagement, in a hospital setting at Methodist Midlothian Medical Center in Midlothian, TX. The facility highlights awards and capabilities such as robotic surgery, cardiac catheterization, and Level I Maternal/Neonatal facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate program in Physical Therapy
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Required Valid Texas License or Temporary License
- 1 year Licensed PT
- PRN schedule requiring availability on weekdays and weekends
- Collaborative, team-based patient care responsibilities
- Discharge planning and ongoing re-assessment as part of care
