Job Summary
Welcome customers with a friendly, positive attitude and provide helpful, personalized service while operating the cash register to process purchases. Answer shopper questions, assist with events, and help prepare merchandise and displays to keep the sales floor clean and organized. Manage online orders, phone requests, and carry-out assistance as needed to support a smooth experience. This seasonal weekend role runs through the holiday season with 10–20 hours per week; no horticulture background is required. Join the team to create a welcoming environment for our garden center shoppers.
Required Qualifications
- Available to work weekends
- Friendly, outgoing personality and a genuine interest in helping people
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, approachable attitude
- Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of customers
- Reliable and dependable
- Comfortable learning and using a cash register/POS system
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally
- Willing to jump in and help with different tasks as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience
- Experience working with customers in a service-oriented environment
- Experience helping with events or creating a welcoming event experience
- Interest in flowers, plants, gardening, or the garden center environment
