Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac progressive care patients by monitoring rhythms and vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians to implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and post-discharge care while documenting assessments accurately within the electronic medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to uphold patient safety standards. Requires an active RN license, BLS certification, and strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills. Full-time nights schedule with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous experience in cardiac, telemetry, PCU, or critical care nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtained within a specified timeframe)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (if applicable to unit protocols)
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, high‐acuity environment
