Job Summary
Obtain patient clinical histories and lab work, then position and immobilize patients to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest while applying radiation protection principles. Operate imaging equipment to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, verify informed consent, and administer medications or contrast as prescribed. Evaluate images for technical quality, document patient dose exposures, and professionally interact with physicians, staff, and patients. Perform timeouts and apply aseptic surgical techniques as required per policy. This weekend-only role at Lorain Hospital includes 36 weekly night shifts with a 33% hourly pay premium. Candidates must hold an ARRT certification and state licensure, with BLS required.
Required Qualifications
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- State Licensure
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
- 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care
- Experience with Radiology Information System
- Must be able to travel to off-site locations
