Job Summary

Coordinate warehouse activities and dispatch functions by managing iDS systems, assigning loads, and processing paperwork for receiving, storing, and shipping products. Confer with supervisors to resolve shortages, answer customer inquiries regarding storage and distribution, and ensure compliance with tariff and customs regulations. Monitor pre-loader and loader progress to guarantee timely billing, track live loads to prevent detention, and arrange outbound shipping documentation with carriers. Handle phone communications and assist other dispatchers while maintaining safety and security standards. Work Friday through Sunday from 5pm to 5:30am with a base pay of $23.50 plus a shift differential, requiring two years of related dispatch experience and strong MS Office proficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two (2) years related dispatch experience
  • Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office to include Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to master internal computer systems
  • Ability to work required schedule
  • Ability and willingness to work the voluntary/mandatory overtime that is required during the busy season
  • Ability and willingness to work alternative schedules to accommodate the needs of the business
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally in a courteous and professional manner with others
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction
  • Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers and management
  • Ability to maintain a level of production that meets or exceeds the established guidelines
  • Ability to work Independently without interruptions
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as receivers, invoices, operating instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork neatly and accurately and according to established guidelines
  • Ability to properly count, document or scan the number of units as needed by the function that is being performed
  • Ability to verify paperwork necessary to ensure inventory count is correct
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
