Job Summary
Forecast, produce, and present clear weather casts on-air and across digital platforms while issuing alerts and creating graphics for live weather events. Utilize social media during severe weather, write stories, and pitch ideas to producers for breaking and everyday content. Make public appearances on behalf of the station and report live three days a week. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, sharp news judgment, and experience with visual live shots. Final compensation is $20–$24/hour for full-time positions eligible for comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- In Depth Knowledge of forecasting
- Sharp news judgement
- Exceptional writing skills
- Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
- Ability to demonstrate experience with active and visual live shots
Desired Qualifications
