Job Summary
Weekend Maintenance Assistant responsible for maintaining and repairing the center's physical plant and grounds. Performs repairs as directed, cleans and maintains floors (strip/wax/buff), collects and disposes of refuse, ensures prompt snow/ice removal, moves furniture as needed, coordinates with nursing services for routine tasks in resident areas, assists in terminal cleaning of resident rooms upon transfer/discharge/death, follows scheduled maintenance instructions, and supports overall facility upkeep and safety. Requires valid driver’s license, ability to read/write/speak English, on-call availability, and knowledge of building maintenance including minor electrical, plumbing, and routine HVAC maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license in current State with satisfactory driving record
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to be available for on-call emergency repairs
- Knowledge of building maintenance including minor electrical repair
- Plumbing and routine preventative care of heating and air conditioning systems
