Job Summary
Seeking a motivated LEAD Official to oversee game day operations for weekend youth basketball programs. Responsible for leading officials, ensuring games run efficiently, providing training, managing staffing, and addressing conflicts professionally. Ideal candidates should possess prior officiating experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to cultivate an inclusive environment. Must be 21+, dependable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while working with children.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Availability to work evenings and weekends throughout the season
- Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and performing setup/breakdown duties
Desired Qualifications
- Prior officiating experience (youth sports preferred)
- Previous leadership or management experience (sports, coaching, or event operations preferred)
- Strong knowledge of rules and gameplay
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Comfortable working with children and families in a dynamic environment
