Job Summary
Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focusing on quality of life. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient's plan of care by performing assessments, checking vitals, evaluating breathing, monitoring pain, and administering prescribed medications. Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies while educating families on prognosis, care plan changes, and hospice goals. Take a holistic approach engaging the patient's mind, body, spirit, and family. This weekend PRN role offers 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratios, flexible assignments, and autonomy within Interim HealthCare Hospice's nationwide network.
Required Qualifications
- Weekend PRN position
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license in Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Clinical proficiency in nursing specialty
- Strong communication skills
- Compassion
