Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, dressing, ambulation, and range of motion exercises while obtaining vital signs and tracking input and output. Perform unsterile and decubiti care, change linens, and handle emergencies in the home under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Provide essential social and emotional support, prepare meals, and ensure infection control while submitting all appropriate paperwork to management. Adhere strictly to company policies and safety regulations, with post-mortem care available as needed. Candidates must complete the Georgia Personal Care Assistant Competency Assessment, hold current CPR certification, and possess reliable transportation. Weekend shifts run Saturday and Sunday from 8am-4pm and 2pm-10pm in Powder Springs, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to successfully complete the Georgia Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Competency Assessment and required training prior to patient care
- Minimum one (1) year of PCA experience required
- Current CPR certification
- Updated TB results/ Chest x-ray
- Reliable transportation
