Job Summary
Assist the Lead Coach during soccer sessions for children ages 2–5, delivering high-energy, age-appropriate instruction while encouraging engagement through positive, developmentally appropriate techniques. Support class management, transitions, and activities to help children build confidence and develop foundational skills in a safe, organized environment. Set up and break down coaching equipment, follow the Soccer Shots curriculum, and communicate professionally with families and team members. Arrive on time and prepared for every scheduled session, maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere throughout. This part-time weekend role offers training, competitive pay, and opportunities for advancement to a Lead Coach position.
Required Qualifications
- Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic
- Comfortable working with young children
- Dependable and able to commit to the full assigned season
- Available to work both Saturdays and Sundays from approximately 8:30 AM–12:00 PM
- Able to follow direction and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Punctual, responsible, and professional
- Comfortable being active and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to reliably travel to coaching locations throughout Westchester County
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in coaching, teaching, childcare, camps, education, recreation, or other youth programs
- Soccer experience
