Job Summary
Weekday Fin Tube Machine Operator responsible for safely setting up and operating the McElroy 6S finning machine. Key duties include fabricating wrap-on and embedded finned tubes from blueprints and planning sheets, determining tooling and setup procedures, controlling speed, feed, and coolant flow, and monitoring machine operation to detect malfunctions. Must measure parts with tape measures, dial calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers; operate an overhead crane and occasionally a forklift; assist with loading/unloading trucks; meet production quotas; and maintain machines at shift end. Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent, with 2 years of finning-machine experience preferred, and the ability to read technical drawings and work safely in a shop environment with PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 years of McElroy finning machine experience highly preferred
- Ability to read prints for required specifications and dimensions
- Ability to work hours outside standard schedule when required
- Ability to maintain <1% finned tube failure rate
- Ability to be punctual and dependable
- Ability to be a team player
- Safety-oriented
- Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift as needed
