Job Summary
Weddings & Events Specialist at Chelsea Square (Vanderbilt University–NYC) responsible for sales, planning, and execution of luxury weddings and high-profile social events. Manages the full lifecycle from inquiry to contract and on-site delivery, delivering white-glove service and building trusted client relationships. Leads consultations, venue tours, proposal development, and contract completion; collaborates with marketing on sales materials; drives revenue growth and enhances brand positioning. Oversees event execution, vendor coordination, and post-event reports, while maintaining strong client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in luxury weddings, high-end events, or venue sales and management
- Proven success with discerning clientele and delivering elevated, personalized event experiences
- Strong sales acumen with ability to negotiate and close high-value contracts
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Highly detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple high-touch client relationships
- Experience collaborating with planners, designers, and premium vendors in the wedding/events industry
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Tripleseat, Memento, Cvent, Salesforce) and event-management tools
- Established experience within the NYC luxury wedding/hospitality market preferred
