Job Summary
Oversee event setups, coordinate with vendors, direct event staff, manage timelines, and ensure seamless execution for weddings and celebrations. Mentor and motivate event staff to deliver exceptional service, while anticipating potential issues and troubleshooting to keep clients satisfied. Be the face of hospitality by resolving guest concerns promptly and upholding rigorous health, safety, and cleanliness standards. This role requires lifting chairs, moving tables, and assisting with banquet set-up and tear-down. Weekend, evening, and holiday shifts are mandatory, with availability for shifts exceeding 8 hours and workweeks over 40 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
- Expertly handle setups, client interactions, an ever changing timeline and team leadership
- A strong drive to create flawless experiences and exceed guest expectations
- Sharp eye for detail and aesthetics
- Proven leadership skills with a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Ability to lift chairs
- Ability to move tables
- Ability to assist with banquet set-up and tear-down
- Availability to work evening shifts
- Availability to work weekend shifts
- Availability to work holiday shifts
- Availability to work shifts of more than 8 hours
- Availability to work workweeks of more than 40 hours
