Job Summary
Identify, evaluate, and complete strategic growth opportunities including M&A and new business development. Collaborate with leaders across business functions to support strategy and deal execution from sourcing through post-merger integration. Construct detailed financial models, prepare executive-ready presentations, and articulate deal rationale to internal and external stakeholders. Cultivate relationships with industry leaders, startups, and investors while managing multiple projects across different timezones. This role is critical for WEBTOON's rapid global expansion, working directly with top management to define and execute organic and inorganic growth strategies within the global entertainment ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of M&A experience (investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development)
- Strong knowledge or interest of the U.S. media & entertainment landscape
- Proficiency in financial modelling and driving M&A deals to completion
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; capable of building complex financial models and executive-ready presentations with structured rationale to support decision-making
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team player
- Ability to manage different working cultures and timezones
- BA or equivalent experience required
Desired Qualifications
- MBA and/or international experience a plus
- Professional working fluency in spoken and written Korean or Japanese a plus
- Experience working for a major entertainment company a plus
