Job Summary
Manage WebSphere Application Server and Liberty runtime configurations, including JVM tuning, security hardening, and certificate management. Perform server provisioning, patching, and application deployments across development, test, and production environments while providing L2/L3 support for business-critical applications. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues using diagnostic tools, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Support migration initiatives from traditional WAS to Liberty, configure containerized workloads on OpenShift or Kubernetes, and automate CI/CD pipelines using Shell, Python, or Ansible. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize performance and ensure compliance with security standards.

- IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- WebSphere Liberty / Open Liberty
- Java, Java EE / Jakarta EE
- Linux / Unix Administration
- JVM Performance Tuning
- SSL, LDAP, SSO Authentication
- Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle
- Shell Scripting or Python
- Incident Management and Production Support
Desired Qualifications
- OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker
- Spring Boot and MicroProfile
- Monitoring Tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus)
- Infrastructure Automation using Ansible
- Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud)
- Experience with enterprise application modernization initiatives
