Webservices Engineer

Senior Web Services Engineer to design, operate and optimize highly available web platforms in a 24/7 multi-customer production environment. Responsibilities include designing, deploying and maintaining web platforms based on Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat (Java), PHP and Microsoft IIS; acting as SME for web technologies and architectures; managing advanced L3 support and troubleshooting across web, application and infrastructure layers; configuring and optimizing reverse proxies, TLS/SSL, virtual hosts, application pools, JVM and PHP runtimes; ensuring performance, reliability and scalability with root cause analysis; supporting HA/DR with F5 BIG-IP, DNS failover and clustering; leading production changes and deployments; participating in on-call rotations; and collaborating with application, system, network, security, DBA and middleware teams. Environment: Apache, Tomcat, Java, PHP, IIS; F5 BIG-IP, DNS, certificates; ITIL-based operations with monitoring, ticketing and CI/CD; multi-client shared service. Strong experience with Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat/JVM, PHP, IIS; Expertise in Web architecture, reverse proxy, TLS, load balancing; Advanced troubleshooting; Performance tuning; Knowledge of HA/DR; Scripting/automation; Nice to have Oracle WebLogic, ORDS, APEX; Cloud platforms (Azure Web Apps); CI/CD, automation and monitoring tools; Profile: strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; team player; able to handle incidents; fluent in Portuguese and English; available for on-call.
