Job Summary
Direct traffic flow using signs or devices and assemble, position, and clean traffic control equipment at heavy civil construction sites. Communicate verbally in English and Spanish with the public while participating in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental goals. Provide leadership through example and knowledge sharing to maintain a safe work environment aligned with the company's zero recordable safety incidents target. Perform strenuous outdoor activities under changing weather conditions, including climbing ladders and operating heavy equipment. This role supports Webber's infrastructure projects in the United States and Canada, leveraging the company's global network and BIM technology to optimize building efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in heavy civil construction
- focus on infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and tunnels
- Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
- Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines
- operating heavy equipment
- lifting up to 50 pounds
- Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials
- Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- MOT Supervisor (GDOT) Certification via WTCS
