Job Summary
Lead and supervise field crews on highway construction projects, ensuring safety and adherence to plans. Manage day-to-day production, interpret blueprints/plans, procure materials, coordinate staff with owner representatives, and provide leadership through example. Requires five years of crew-management experience on highway projects, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and proficiency in supervising utility work (gravity sewer, sewer force main, storm drain, waterline). Strong English communication skills and a valid driver license for occasional travel. Proficiency with construction methods and BIM/technical instruction interpretation is preferred; must work outdoors in variable weather and contribute to achieving departmental and company goals.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience managing crews on highway projects
- Lift, push, or pull and move up to seventy (70) pounds
- Climb, kneel, twist, and bend in various environments
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
- Demonstrated experience in utility work supervision to include gravity sewer, sewer force main, storm drain and waterline
- Valid driver license for occasional, required travel
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to physically maneuver by foot minor obstacles at construction projects
- Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind
