Job Summary

Lead Maintenance Technician responsible for leadership and supervision of maintenance crews, coordinating road and infrastructure upkeep, safety compliance, and emergency response. Key duties include directing maintenance activities, enforcing safe practices, setting up and removing traffic control devices, maintaining MT and signage, operating large vehicles and specialized equipment, performing basic electrical and mechanical repairs, and ensuring infrastructure assets (roads, medians, signs, guardrails, bridges, drainage, vegetation) meet contract standards. Essential skills include strong communication, ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents, basic math, PPE adherence, working at heights, experience with underground infrastructure maintenance, and willingness to participate in overtime/emergency rotations. Education requirement: HS Diploma or GED; one year of relevant experience preferred; valid driver's license and good driving record required. Highly desirable: CDL, DOT certifications, electrical and welding certifications. Willingness to work in varied weather conditions and environments and to operate tools and equipment to maintain highway assets.
