Job Summary
Inspect, service, and repair engines, brakes, and critical parts of heavy construction equipment at jobsite locations. Diagnose problems quickly and accurately while performing routine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns. Change oil, inspect tires and brakes, and maintain electrical systems and fuel injection pumps. Clean the working area and communicate with operators from other shifts. Order tools and machinery inventory parts as needed. Comply with all safety policies and report unsafe activities to the supervisor. Provide leadership through example and share knowledge with the team. Perform strenuous outdoor work in changing weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
- Move around minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines
- Operating heavy equipment
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Drivers License
- OSHA10/30
- First Aid and CPR
- Must have excellent knowledge and experience with the general mechanical layout of Heavy Construction Equipment
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States of America
- Required to complete and pass a drug screen
- Required to complete and pass a medical exam
