Job Summary

Inspect and repair all project vehicles and equipment by detecting malfunctions, performing replacements, and diagnosing AVL and electronic driver's log issues under the guidance of a 310T mechanic. Maintain daily maintenance records, prepare cost estimates for repairs, and ensure all assets comply with provincial safety standards and regulations. Diagnose operation problems to recommend necessary parts or services. This role requires a high school or second/third-year apprentice student with a driver's license, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and availability for emergency rotations including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • High school or second or third year apprentices student
  • 1 + year experience
  • Driver's License with good driving record (required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment
  • Ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job
  • Required to be available for emergency response rotations as need for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to read and understand plans, material lists, guidelines and meet timelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills
