Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Angular to support engineering projects and enhance the firm's online presence. Create responsive designs, build back-end services, and conduct user research to improve experiences. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate requirements into technical specifications, participate in meetings, and develop wireframes. Implement unit and integration testing, troubleshoot applications, and regularly update code for security and performance. Maintain documentation and stay current with industry trends. Work Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly, remotely within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
- Proven experience as a web developer, preferably in an engineering or technical environment
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, PHP, etc.)
- Experience with frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal)
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB) and API integration
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in responsive and mobile-first design
- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices (WCAG)
- Familiarity with engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD)
