Job Summary

Build new websites on WordPress from concept to launch, configure e-commerce functionality with WooCommerce, and develop internal tools for staff workflows. Perform regular updates to existing sites, troubleshoot bugs and downtime, and manage hosting tasks within SiteGround. Maintain HubSpot integrations for forms and tracking, support e-commerce features and checkout flows, and provide light design support using brand assets and AI-generated content. This remote, 40-hour weekly role requires 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time availability. Compensation is $7 per hour with no benefits package included.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience building and maintaining WordPress websites
  • Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based e-commerce setups
  • Familiarity managing sites hosted on SiteGround (or comparable hosting platforms)
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot (forms, integrations, or workflows)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills for daily collaboration with a US-based client
  • Must have a reliable internet connection
  • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
  • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up
  • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
  • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
  • Back-up computer and internet connection
  • 40 hours per week
  • 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time, Monday–Friday

  • WordPress development (themes, plugins, custom pages)

  • HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
  • SiteGround hosting and site management
  • HubSpot integration and troubleshooting
  • Google Workspace proficiency
  • Comfort working with AI tools and Canva-generated design assets
  • Self-starter who can manage tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with live/production sites
  • Reliable and consistent, especially given fixed working hours
  • Proactive communicator who flags issues before they become problems
  • Comfortable balancing new development work with ongoing maintenance requests
  • You take genuine ownership of the websites you manage
  • You're comfortable wearing multiple hats, moving between building something new and fixing something old within the same day
  • You care about doing quality work even when no one's looking over your shoulder
  • You communicate clearly and early when you hit a roadblock
  • You like the idea of supporting a mission-driven organization with real-world impact
