Job Summary

Implement user experience (UX) and design updates to the ASH website according to industry best practices within the content management system (CMS). Create and optimize digital media assets including photos, videos, and graphics for the ASH website, emails, and social media while adhering to the Society's branding and style guide. Collaborate with the Digital Content Specialist, Web Specialist, and IT department to identify and implement value-adding integrations that improve user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) across ASH Research Collaborative, ASH Publications, and other digital properties. Ensure the Society's website presence meets accessibility and usability best practices by consulting on UI/UX recommendations and testing changes with consultants. Build and maintain a consistent visual identity strategy across all ASH digital properties to support targeted campaign messaging and business goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in digital design, graphic design, digital marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of proven experience in web and digital content design
  • Experience with a professional medical society or nonprofit organization
  • Expertise in web content development
  • Expertise in web content management systems
  • Expertise in content marketing
  • Expertise in user experience/user design principles
  • Proficiency with Figma or other wireframing tools
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and/or other graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards
  • Strong understanding of design principles
  • Strong understanding of layout composition
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments
  • Ability to successfully work with internal stakeholders, vendors, and agencies
  • Strong organizational and project management experience
  • High level of accuracy
