Job Summary
Update and validate older web articles with newer components, remapping content to an updated tagging system. Identify and implement internal linking to strengthen SEO signals, embed syndicated promotion boxes, and monitor site health signals like broken links to publish URL redirects. Review recently published content for search and usability best practices, including metadata, semantic markup, and indexability. Contribute to monthly SEO and AI search performance research and content recommendations while adhering to brand tone, regulatory guidelines, and digital asset management standards. Evaluate, test, and optimize digital experiences as part of ongoing content governance and site health initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced experience with editing and publishing web content in a content management system (CMS)
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience
- Advanced verbal and written communications skills
- Advanced organizational, planning, attention to detail and time management skills
- Knowledge of the financial services environment and Navy Federal's functions, policies, procedures, products, and services
- HTML skills, including knowledge of CSS, JavaScript
- Experience working in a demanding, fast paced, creative environment similar to an advertising agency
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced experience with Adobe Experience Cloud (AEC), especially Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) greatly preferred
- Advanced understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic web markup languages
- Advanced experience evaluating web content for search engine optimization
- Working knowledge of interactive usability best practices and concepts
- Working knowledge of the financial services environment and associated functions, policies, procedures, products and services
- Experience in using and interpreting web analytics software (Google or Adobe Analytics)
- Experience in translating complex concepts, customer needs, motivations and behaviors into easy-to-understand interactive experiences and deliverables
- Working knowledge of digital and online technologies, best practices, trends, issues, editing and authoring tools
- Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
- Experience in content delivery, site governance and content management for high traffic websites
- Skill navigating multiple screens and PC applications and adapting to new technologies
- Effective skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy and tact
