Job Summary
Senior Web App Developer to design responsive web-based interfaces for manipulating large datasets generated by complex systems. Responsibilities include building intuitive user interfaces, applying secure coding practices, collaborating with product teams to gather requirements and create wireframe examples, and assisting in documentation and training for the application interfaces. The role expects strong experience with modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, React/Angular), Linux/UNIX environments, and familiarity with data-heavy front-end applications. Additional experience with charting libraries, Node.js, databases (Elasticsearch, MongoDB), GIS tools, WebSockets/WebRTC, Python, Docker, and related tooling is a plus. The position offers relocation assistance to Virginia Beach, VA, healthcare benefits, 401k, flexible hours, and potential for advancement. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years professional experience with: Web Application Development
- HTML / HTML5
- CSS / CSS3
- Javascript
- Minimum of 5 years experience with: RESTful APIs
- Large amounts of JSON or XML data
- React or Angular or other similar products
- Bootstrap or other similar styling frameworks
- Working in a Linux or other UNIX environment
- Experience with the following a plus: jQuery, D3.js, Graphviz, charting libraries
- Node.js
- Elasticsearch, MongoDB or similar data storage
- Leaflet or similar GIS software
- Web Sockets or WebRTC
- Python
- Unix/Linux shell scripting
- Kafka
- Docker
- Payment card processing
