Job Summary
Weapons Department Support personnel provide essential logistical and operational assistance to the LOGSU-1 Weapons Department, directly supporting the Weapons Officer and LCPO. Responsibilities include assisting in armory, ordnance, and weapons logistics operations; receiving, issuing, and storing materiel; performing inventory verification against NSN, quantity, and cost; preparing materials for shipment; maintaining records in automated inventory systems; monitoring minimum stock levels; and utilizing logistics systems (NTCSS Relational Supply, SWIFT BizFlow, NAVSUP OneTouch, FEDLOG). The role supports inventory audits and compliance, and contributes to mission readiness. Required to hold a SECRET clearance, be a U.S. citizen, possess a valid driver’s license, and be proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to operate government vehicles, forklifts, and other material handling equipment; capable of working in warehouse/armory environments and within classified settings (NIPRNET/SIPRNET).
Required Qualifications
- Experience with logistics or inventory management systems
- Installation-level or strategic logistics support programs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory/accountability tasks
- Military-style correspondence
- Secret clearance
- U.S. citizen
- Driver’s License
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to operate Government vehicles, forklifts, and vans
- Professional work ethic and reliability
- Effective communication skills
- Accurate documentation and reporting
- Compliance with security, safety, and drug-free workplace requirements
- Ability to work within classified environments and systems (NIPRNET/SIPRNET)
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials
- Capability to stand, walk, and work in warehouse/armory environments for extended periods
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor operational environments
