Job Summary
Effector System Project Engineer (Laser Source) will coordinate with the two Effector Systems RMOs to manage external partners and deliver external sub-systems for DragonFire, focusing on acceptance, final assembly, integration and test of the Laser Source within the wider subsystem. Responsibilities include interface management with external partners (programmatic and technical), acceptance and delivery of the Laser Source to final assembly, and project development to evolve DragonFire. The role requires experience delivering and integrating complex sub-systems, working with third-party suppliers, developing technical statements of work, proactively engaging stakeholders, and leading technical work packages alongside project managers to balance technical risks. The position sits at MBDA UK in Bristol with a dynamic hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days on-site) and security-clearance requirements. Required Qualifications
- Experience engineering role in defence or complex systems
- Experience with external partners/suppliers
- Ability to manage technical work packages and stakeholder relationships
- Knowledge of electro-optical-mechanical systems or similar sub-systems
- Proactive communication and project delivery focus
