Job Summary
Develop comprehensive financial plans for high net worth clients by coordinating with internal and external partners to manage complex situations, insurance matters, and estate strategies. Prepare detailed wealth plans every three to five years, facilitate proactive discussions with specialized advisors, and serve as the team's trusted resource for answering questions on tax, insurance, and financial planning. Build relationships with centers of influence, introduce key stakeholders to advance team goals, and continuously review processes to enhance capabilities. Partner with senior specialists and advisors to deliver customized expertise while supporting the team through educational content sharing and digital presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Designation
- 10+ years of securities industry and complex wealth/financial planning experience
- Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that is professional, warm, thoughtful, and proactive
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage highly confidential information with professionalism
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to present confidently to diverse audiences
Desired Qualifications
- Professional designations such as FEA, CPA, CGA, CMA, LLB, TEP, Master's in Tax (M.Tax), or Completed CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Course
- Willingness to continue education or pursue more advanced tax and financial planning designations
- Investment and insurance industry experience
- Specific experience with RBC Dominion Securities and its applications
- Experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Strong proficiency in video conferencing and collaboration tools (Slack, WebEx Teams, Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Comfortable proficiency in AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity
