Wealth Management Solutions, Trust & Estates, Trust Settlement Officer

Settlement Officer VP in Wealth Management Solutions, Trust & Estates: oversee the settlement of trusts, including distributions, interpretation of governing trust instruments to identify entitled individuals, and coordination with investments, tax, and operations. Review legal documents and accountings to determine appropriate settlement forms, work with trust counsel on legal issues, communicate with remaindermen, co-trustees, trust counsel, and financial advisors, and address planning issues with remaindermen. Identify and mitigate risks associated with terminating events, oversee investment decisions with Investors, collaborate with tax and trust counsel on fiduciary and estate taxation matters, pursue cross-selling opportunities with Trust Officers, Bankers and Investors, and contribute to internal projects and procedures. Requires 7+ years of trust administration or settlement experience with direct client interactions; Bachelor's degree and JD; strong fiduciary, legal, accounting, tax, and investments knowledge; proven problem solving and risk management capabilities; client servicing and teamwork skills; and ability to lead and coach teammates.
