Job Summary
Wealth Management Solutions, Trust & Estates - Estate Officer, Vice President leads administration of estates and includable trusts, analyzes Wills and trust documents, oversees investment decisions, collaborates with Tax Officers and trust counsel to resolve tax issues, and addresses beneficiary questions. Builds client and advisor relationships, mentors Estate Administrators, and partners with Wealth Advisors, Bankers, Investors, and Trust Officers to grow the trust and estate business. Requires deep fiduciary product knowledge, strong client relationships, and post-mortem planning expertise. Prior experience in trust & estates, and a Bachelor’s degree with advanced degree preferred, is highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of all fiduciary products and services, including all legal, tax and regulatory requirements applicable to fiduciary relationships
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience focused in the Trust and Estates business; either at a corporate fiduciary or a law firm
- Solid Client Relationship Management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of trust and estate law, income, transfer, and generation skipping taxation, with ability to apply that knowledge to post-mortem planning exercises and account administration
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus; J.D. strongly preferred
