Job Summary
Lead operational due diligence efforts for alternative investments, including setting up and disseminating operational due diligence questionnaires, evaluating operational risks of managers (infrastructure, counterparties, valuation, cyber security, compliance, and regulatory issues), participating in meetings (in person and sometimes virtual), scoring Q responses, collaborating with governance and control partners, and presenting analyses and opinions to Investment and Governance Committees; represent the firm in front of C-level executives at third-party fund managers; require experience in audit or asset management operations and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, with effective teamwork, communication, and initiative.
Required Qualifications
- Experience performing and/or understanding operational due diligence on investment managers (audit firm or asset management/ODD roles)
- Solid understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and fund structures
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and strong organizational/analytical skills
- Investigative skills and attention to detail
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong written, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong initiative, energy, and confidence completing assignments
