Job Summary
Wealth Management Lending Officer develops and maintains a network of business relationships to generate referrals for residential mortgage lending opportunities, responding to borrower inquiries, interviewing prospects, determining financing objectives, and advising on product/pricing policies while ensuring regulatory compliance and SAFE Act requirements. Responsibilities include prospecting clients, negotiating lending terms, preparing documentation, guiding loan approvals through closing, maintaining knowledge of lending programs and policies, and leveraging wealth-management products to support client needs. Requires strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills, with experience in mortgage credit solutions and familiarity with FHA/HUD guidelines. Office-based role with in-office attendance expectations; Series 7/63 licensing not required but may be maintained permissively.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in a loan origination role with significant experience working with ultra-high net worth and affluent client base
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, generating leads, closing business and consistently meeting/exceeding production goals
- Strong background in the credit solutions, ranging from standard to custom mortgage products and other securities-based lending
- Significant experience building relationships with clients
- Understands processing, underwriting and/or closing procedures
- Working knowledge of federal regulations governing real estate lending
- Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
