Job Summary
Wealth Client Onboarding Specialist: Manage the full onboarding process for new clients in the Wealth Advisors Division, coordinating account establishment, transfers, and onboarding paperwork. Serve as the primary client contact during onboarding, provide proactive communication and timely updates, and ensure compliance with KYC/AML and firm policies. Collaborate with advisors, planners, and operations to ensure efficient account implementation and ongoing support. Maintain accurate client records and track onboarding progress, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and client experience. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience, 2+ years in financial services or client administration, knowledge of account opening procedures and ACAT transfers, familiarity with CRM and document management platforms, strong attention to detail, and effective communication. Compensation ranges from $55,000 to $70,000 with comprehensive benefits and ESOP. Location is hybrid at the Poughkeepsie, NY office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, client service, operations, or account administration
- Knowledge of account opening procedures, ACAT transfers, and custodial platforms (preferably LPL Financial)
- Familiarity with CRM systems and document management platforms (preferably Black Diamond/Salentica)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with Vertafore a plus
- Appropriate state insurance licenses and continuing education required
