Job Summary

Serve as the primary advisor for assigned client relationships, acting as the first line of response to resolve requests directly or coordinate with internal teams. Lead client meetings, prepare tax forms and returns, and maintain balance sheets using Tamarac Advisor View and eMoney. Partner with Operations for onboarding and account maintenance, while coordinating estate planning reviews and engaging external attorneys and CPAs. Support family office functions including bookkeeping reviews, trust distribution schedules, and bill pay coordination. Escalate issues to senior leadership and train associates as appropriate. Network with peers in the Richmond market and represent the firm in community events.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
  • CFP, CPA, or EA designation
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, tax, investment advisory, family office, or a related client advisory role
  • Demonstrates ability to manage client relationships, communicate clearly, and coordinate complex deliverables across internal and external teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information and develop practical recommendations
  • Client-focused mindset, sound judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive family, financial, tax, and estate planning matters
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through, with the ability to balance quality and pace across multiple client priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and core planning or CRM tools
  • Demonstrated alignment with Heritage Core Values: Collaboration, Intellectual Curiosity, Integrity, Passion
