Job Summary
Lead assigned clients as a primary relationship manager and fiduciary advisor, developing documented understandings of their goals, family dynamics, and liquidity needs. Conduct periodic reviews and planning discussions to translate complex investment and estate concepts into actionable strategies. Coordinate with attorneys, CPAs, and trust specialists to execute commitments, administer personal trust relationships, and align portfolio strategies with client objectives. Maintain accurate documentation, escalate material legal issues, and cultivate external referral networks to deepen relationships and expand assets while adhering to strict fiduciary obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, financial planning, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in wealth management, financial planning, RIA advisory work, trust administration, investment management, private banking, estate planning, tax, law, or a related field
- Working knowledge of financial planning, investments, portfolio construction, retirement planning, trust and estate concepts, taxation concepts, fiduciary principles, and bank trust operations
- Strong client relationship, communication, organization, documentation, problem-solving, business development, and follow-through skills
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree or professional credential such as CFP, CPA, CTFA, CIMA, CFA, JD, CPWA, AEP, or similar role-relevant designation preferred
- Strong financial planning mindset and a desire to build long-term client relationships
- Comfortable discussing investments, estate planning, tax-aware planning, retirement income, and family wealth issues while recognizing when a specialist should be involved
- Commercially aware and willing to contribute to business development without approaching the role as a transactional sales position
- Able to develop attorney, CPA, banker, client, and community relationships that support high-quality growth
- Fiduciary-minded, collaborative, practical, empathetic, and accountable for follow-through
