Job Summary
Supervise employees through training and coaching while guiding deli operations and overseeing catering services. Provide exceptional customer service to regulars, maintain Market cleanliness standards, and perform opening and closing procedures. Assist the Store Manager with inventory management, vendor interactions, and propane filling/exchange as needed. This role supports store operations for upcoming gourmet gas station markets in Charlottesville, requiring a former restaurant manager or caterer with two years of experience. Flexible schedule availability is essential as the store operates seven days a week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years' manager experience in a restaurant, kitchen or retail environment
- High energy, self-starting individual with ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
- General proficiency in MS-Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet)
- Learns new computer/technology skills quickly
- Proficient in the English language (verbal and written)
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment offer
- Flexible schedule availability (store runs 7 days/week)
- Physically able to do the job
- Ability to be on feet much of the day
- 2 years of food service experience
