Job Summary
Plan and manage the daily operation of assigned department(s), including staffing levels and budget accountability to accomplish plant objectives. Provide training to the workforce to ensure they apply skills required to produce quality products according to customer requirements. Administer company rules, regulations, and safety policies, initiating corrective actions as needed. Actively analyze department performance against metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma principles. Guide the workforce in compliance with Standard Work and recommend improvements to work instructions, methods, and processes.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED
- 5 years of previous manufacturing experience
- exposure to leading/directing the work of others
- 3 years' direct supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in PLASTICS and ELASTOMERS
- Previous experience in a Lean manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example
- Strong communication skills
- Metric driven/analytical problem solving experience

- U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Desired Qualifications
- BS Degree
- Lean/Six Sigma certification
- Ideal candidate will have 3 years' direct supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in a Lean manufacturing environment, focused on continuous improvement and High Performance Work teams
