[WCF] Senior Software Engineer (.NET + Angular)- 6-months project

Job Summary
Design and develop backend services using Microsoft .NET and Azure cloud technologies, while building and maintaining responsive front-end interfaces in Angular (v13+). Integrate these systems to deliver cohesive, cloud-native applications and apply DevOps practices to maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments. Contribute to agile ceremonies, provide input on technical feasibility, and write clean, testable code with unit and integration testing. Troubleshoot issues proactively and collaborate on code reviews to foster continuous improvement within the cross-functional team. This six-month project supports a British insurance client's cybersecurity and customer care applications, running until February 2027, with opportunities to transition to other projects upon completion.
Required Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft .NET for building cloud-based services with at least 6 years of proved experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with unit testing and mocking frameworks
- Proficiency in SQL and database development (e.g., SQL Server)
- Experience with automated testing, debugging, and code reviews
- Demonstrable experience of end-to-end design, build, and delivery of applications, ideally within a cloud-native environment
- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a strong focus on quality, testing, and best practices
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues proactively and efficiently
- Ability to anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and take ownership of tasks
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools
- Fluent communication in English
Desired Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Angular (v13+) including component-based architecture and reactive programming principles
- Deep understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and SCSS/CSS3
- Experience integrating Angular frontends with .NET-based APIs and RESTful services
- Knowledge of Angular best practices for performance optimization, lazy loading, and state management
- Familiarity with modern frontend build tools and environments
- Experience implementing responsive and accessible UI designs across different devices and browsers
- Understanding of testing frameworks for Angular applications
- Ability to collaborate effectively with backend and DevOps teams to deliver full-stack solutions
- Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and UI/UX best practices
