Job Summary
Assist teachers with instructional, clerical, student management, and daily life activities for special education students in special education or general classrooms. Requires a high school diploma or GED; experience with students with special needs preferred. Must be flexible to meet the changing needs of students, able to relate well with students, staff and parents, and possess strong office, computer, and communication skills. Incumbents should have knowledge of child guidance principles and basic instructional techniques, be willing to supervise students in community settings, and participate in training provided by the Special Education Department. Work is during the school year with shifts typically between 7:15am and 3:30pm; part-time role with benefits including paid holidays, PTO, basic life insurance, optional health plan, and pension eligibility for longer days.
Required Qualifications
