Wave Technician

Job Summary
Set up and maintain wave soldering equipment, including ERSA and Electrovert units, while monitoring and adjusting soldering parameters like conveyor speed and flux quantity. Create and maintain process documentation, troubleshoot solder bridges and cold joints, and follow IPC-A-610 standards for visual inspection. Support first article builds, collect process performance data, and assist engineers with yield analysis. Maintain ESD-safe conditions and handle a variety of technical problems with minimum supervision. Requires tertiary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, 2-3 years of test technician experience, and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a test technician in a similar Electronics company
- Electronics test, troubleshooting, and repair experience
- Experience testing and diagnosing electronic products, power supplies and related products
- Ability to work from electrical schematics, change notices, and use standard electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to make common mechanical connections associated with power supply testing
- Good communications skills with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Knowledgeable on Windows applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with SAP systems
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
